Sarasota, Fla. -- Four SRQ Squadron members were recognized by Manatee County Emergency Management for their work with the Manatee County Emergency Operation Center (EOC). The award presentation was made by SRQ Unit Commander Col. Patrick O'Key.

The SRQ squadron has maintained a strong relationship with Manatee County over the past decade and was instrumental in efforts to establish a Memorandum Of Understanding between the county and Civil Air Patrol (CAP). The county maintains a communication station at the new multi-million dollar EOC facility for CAP radio operations during EOC activation. For several years, the county has invited the SRQ squadron members to participate on the Disaster Preparedness Planning Committee. Squadron members also participate on the county's design team for the annual State Hurricane exercise as well as joining the county's involvement during the actual exercise.

The SRQ members recognized for their professionalism and service included: (clockwise from top left) Major Robert Bayless, Major Herb Lauber, Lt. Col. Richard Petrucci, and Lt. Col Richard Grafton.
